MobiPay Tracker is a personal finance application that helps you track your mobile money transactions automatically. This Privacy Policy explains what information the app accesses, how it is used, and the protections in place for your data.

1. Information We Access

MobiPay Tracker requests access to the following on your device:

• SMS messages — The app reads SMS messages in your inbox to identify mobile money transaction confirmations from MTN MoMo, AirtelTigo Money, and Telecel Cash. Only messages that match known mobile money formats are processed. Personal messages, bank messages, or any other SMS are not read or stored.
• Contacts (optional) — If you grant contacts permission, the app matches phone numbers in your transaction history to the names saved in your phone's address book. This makes your transaction list easier to read. Contacts permission can be denied without affecting core functionality.
• Notifications (optional) — If you set a monthly budget, the app can send you a local notification when you approach or reach your limit. No internet connection is used to send these notifications.

2. How Your Data Is Stored

All data processed by MobiPay Tracker is stored exclusively on your device in a private local database. This includes your transaction records, categories, budget settings, and any personal preferences.

No data is ever uploaded to a server, cloud service, or any third party. MobiPay Tracker does not require an internet connection to function, and does not make any network requests that involve your personal or financial data.

3. Data Sharing

MobiPay Tracker does not share your data with anyone. Specifically:

• No data is sold to third parties.
• No data is shared with advertisers or analytics services.
• No data is sent to MinQ Software or any other organisation.
• The app contains no third-party advertising SDKs.

The only time data leaves your device is when you choose to export your transactions as a CSV file and share it manually (for example, via WhatsApp or email). This action is entirely voluntary and under your control.

4. Permissions Explained

• READ_SMS — Required to read mobile money SMS messages. Without this permission the app cannot function, as transaction detection is entirely SMS-based.
• READ_CONTACTS — Optional. Used only to display saved contact names alongside phone numbers in your transaction history.
• POST_NOTIFICATIONS — Optional. Used only to send local budget alert notifications. No network access is involved.

5. Children's Privacy

MobiPay Tracker is intended for adults and is not directed at children under the age of 13. We do not knowingly collect any information from children.

6. Changes to This Policy

If this Privacy Policy changes in a material way, the updated version will be published at this URL and the "Last updated" date above will be revised. Continued use of the app after any change constitutes acceptance of the updated policy.
